What is an activity for someone with Alzheimer’s disease or a related dementia?

Welcome Back

Think of an activity as any encounter with a person who has Alzheimer’s disease or another dementia.

Why is this the case?

It is because for some with these diseases, especially those who are in the middle to late stages of the disease process, all you get are moments to connect.

That is why it is oh so important to make these moments matter

How do you make meaningful moments with someone who has Alzheimer’s disease or other dementias?.

Of course there are times when the connection will be longer. Sometimes, as you are running a group activity, a person with one of the dementias will be in the groove for one minute and gone the next and back again
